Description
The Combo Chair is Elina Pilates' take on the wunda chair: a maple-framed chair with four springs, split pedals, and removable handles, built for studio duty on a 30.3" × 24" (77 × 61 cm) base. Each of the four springs (2 medium green, 2 heavy red) hooks into any of 4 positions, so resistance adjusts in small steps across a wide range. The pedals join or separate with a locking slider underneath, switching between two-leg and single-leg or reciprocal work in seconds.
The handles remove entirely or set to three heights, 43.7", 46.9", or 50" (111, 119, or 127 cm), via a single twist-and-pull knob, and wheels move the 79 lb (36 kg) chair around the studio without lifting. It is the apparatus to add when a studio's reformers are busy and floor space is tight. Solo home users should note that chair work is technique-heavy; it rewards practitioners who already have instruction behind them.
